    Here is a link to Airbnb with just Canterbury listings during the meeting, June 4th to 6th. It is recommended you stay close to the University of Kent campus and Canterbury West Train station. It can be difficult finding parking on campus, so it is best to walk or take public transportation. You can also find accomodations near the main Canterbury bus station, since buses go directly to campus from this location.

Traveling to Canterbury

Travel by Train from London

Canterbury West (approx. 1 mile) is the most convenient train station to University of Kent campus within 30 minute walk or short bus/cab ride. Canterbury East is a bit further (approx. 2 miles) and may require a bus or cab ride to campus.

The main London station for Canterbury West is St Pancras. Travel time approximately 45 minutes, approx. £41.

The main London station for Canterbury East is Victoria Station. Travel time approximately 2 hours, approx. £31.

Arrival in Heathrow

By train:

Option 1: Take Heathrow Express (£25) to Paddington Station, transfer to either Circle or Hammersmith tube line to St. Pancras. Then train to Canterbury West. Approximate 90 minute travel time.

Option 2: Take the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to St Pancras station. Then train to Canterbury West. Approximate 2.5 hour travel time.

By private car:

Longley’s cab company can be hired for approximately £175 for door to door service. Make sure to arrange prior to travel.

Arrival in Gatwick

By train:

Take Gatwick Express (£21) to Victoria Station, transfer to Victoria tube line to Green Park, then transfer to Piccadilly Line to St. Pancras. Then train to Canterbury West. Approximate 90 minute travel time. Alternatively, you can take train from Victoria to Canterbury East. Approximate 3 hour travel time.

By private car:

BY BUS

There are buses every 15 minutes from Canterbury bus station to campus during the day: either the Unibus 1 or Unibus 2. This journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Please get off at the Business School bus stop, and you will be a 2 minute walk away from the meeting. Or take the Triangle 4 services but you will need to disembark at Keyes College, a 7 minute walk from the meeting.

Buses going to the University also stop at Westgate Towers, St Dunstan's Church, and Canterbury East Railway Station

BY FOOT

From Canterbury East Railway Station: This station is approximately a 45-minute walk from the campus. You can view the journey on google maps.

From Canterbury West Railway Station: This station is approximately a 25-minute walk from the campus. You can view the journey on google maps. You will turn left out of the station and walk to the end of the road. Just after the 'Goods Shed' market on your left, take the footpath on the left and take the subway under the railway line. The University is signposted on blue signs from here.

From Canterbury Bus Station: This station is approximately a 45-minute walk from the campus. You can view the journey on google maps.
